April 1-16

April 1, 2013

I woke up at seven thirty this morning, it was mild out. I was too nauseous to eat breakfast so I had my morning coffee, took a shower, packed leftover lamb and mint jelly for lunch and left for school.
The morning was uneventful, I was paired with a no show and ended up partnering with the nice Chinese woman in the back, and we did microscope work, averaging Yeast cells under a microscope. Good bit of review since I haven't done cell counts in half a decade.

Lunch was good, a bit sticky unfortunately. I need to acquire better Tupperware, and probably precut my meat as the knife I brought broke open the Ziploc bag rendering it ineffective.

I am going to try to keep a stable record of my daily habits, in the hope that I can find patterns that may lend themselves to my ill-health. I experienced a great deal of gastrointestinal discomfort. Fever like symptoms, and anxiety like symptoms likely stemming from my liberal intake of caffeine.

My coughing while less overwhelming is none the less noticeable and I have a degree of concern as to whether or not my coming to school was a mistake. I do not expect a viral condition to linger for more than a week and my antibiotics should eliminate any bacterial infection so regardless of what I do, simply by not straining myself I should be able to recover in due time. For that reason I’m skipping my normal trip to the gym, though it pains me to do so. I intend to return to my regiment as soon as my coughing ceases.

I finished the cell count earlier and went home at 1:30 I spent most of the evening relaxing, watching southpark reruns and playing elder scrolls 3. A bit of highschool nostalgia. I had more leftovers for dinner, sadly we are now out of lamb.

Messed around on facebook for a bit, got my second hit on the new unfriend app I downloaded, just like last time it was a butthurt catholic who dropped me because of something I said to someone else. I found this highly amusing.  There were also a number of bs status updates, none of which I believed. Honestly who believes people who brag about life changing events on april fools day?

I had some ice cream for desert and went to sleep at around midnight.

April 2, 2013

I woke up at 8, had coffee, got dressed and left for school, I didn't feel that sick but I am still coughing and my stomach was acting up slightly more than yesterday. I arrived in class at 9 and discovered to my indifference that we were doing microscope practice. I simply can't practice anything in this lab because I cannot stand having stupid people stand over my shoulder and bark orders. If there was a point to what we were doing I wouldn't mind but as its just review I'm inclined to simply go through the motions and not spend undue time on it.

I finished the microscope work early and had my aunt’s leftover homemade pasta with lamb sauce for lunch.  Then I went to the library and to my surprise there was actually study room available. Must not be any important tests this week.

I arrived home at 2 and watched a movie, blue velvet. It was very hard to follow and I'm unclear on whether it had actual sex in it. You'd think that would not be vague but they make it so. I had frittatas with Italian rice balls and pineapple for dinner, Italian pasta pudding and vanilla ice crème for dessert.
I took a shower, changed and I fell asleep around midnight.

April 3, 2013

I woke up at 7:30 and had my coffee and leftover frittata for breakfast. I got dressed and left for class arriving at 8:50. There was little traffic today. My sinusitis has not improved noticeably and I am suffering from lower GI tract symptoms.

Took a cheek cell sample, threw it out… love the way they have us do things for the sake of doing them and for no real purpose… Went to lunch, had leftover pizzagana. Made electrophoresis buffer and took off.

When I got home I started work on my tunic, and by 9pm I was about half way finished. Measured everything out, traced it on the fabric, cut out the basic dimensions, then I started on the seam work. I finished the sleeves and top section, cut of the excess and went to bed. I had stuffed pasta and left over Italian rice balls for dinner.

I fell asleep at 1 am.

April 4, 2013

My cat woke me up at 6 this morning and I played with her for an hour. Then I got up had my coffee, took a shower, and left for class.

The teachers were 10 minutes late and I had a fairly substantial headache for which I took alive which my professor was nice enough to give me. I need to bring ibuprofen with me from now on.

We prepared and ran the electrophoresis gel, and had an argument about the Sumerians… which I spent the first 15 minutes of lunch resolving.

We finished the gel and ran the samples, the whole experiment failed miserably.  I went home at 2:30.
Got home and finished my tunic. Had shrimp stir-fry for dinner and started sketching my linothorax design. I had ice crème and a beer for desert. I went to sleep at 1 am.

April 5, 2013

I woke up at 7:30 had an egg mcmuffin and coffee for breakfast because I was running late. It was semi edible.

Got to class at 9:45, and some jackass was hacking and blowing his nose all over the fucking place, if I get sick again I am going to be so fucking pissed off at this lunatic asylum of a program! What kind of jackass comes in half dead shedding plague germs like a flee bitten Parisian rat?

I’m just glad its fucking Friday I want this over with.

We had pizza for lunch so I ended up eating the left over stirfry I packed for dinner. There was a guest speaker from shire in today to tell us about the workforce in biotech. It was interesting and I think I’m going to try for a university position, ideally an internship.

When I got home I started work on my armor. I went to bed at midnight.

April 6, Saturday I spent the day sowing the layers of my armor together, I had oatmeal for breakfast and pizzagana for lunch. Dinner was pizza.

April 7,Sunday I helped lanet move her furniture and spent the rest of the day in bed cleaning up my room a bit. I had French toast for breakfast, pizza for lunch, and roast beef for dinner.

April 8, 2013

I woke up at around 8, had some coffee packed lunch and headed out. I got myself some coffee and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread for breakfast.

We did electrophoresis again to hopefully get a better result; instead we failed more epically than before. I realized I'd forgotten my lunch at home so I took the 11 am shuttle back, ate, and took the 12 pm shuttle to school.  I had dandelion greens, cannellini beans in olive oil and garlic, it was quite good.

I began cleaning my room when I returned, which took me the rest of the day, I had tripe for dinner and pineapples and ice crème for dessert. Also a beer and a glass of wine. I went to sleep at midnight.

April 9, 2013

I woke up at 7 thirty with bad congestion, which I believe to be allergies, I had my coffee and cereal for breakfast; I took a shower and arrive in class by 9.

We did a test and it was quite easy, then again it was on size exclusion which I have a lot of experience with from my time at city lab.

I believe we are doing cell cultures next.
And then I became horribly sick again, which remained for a full week.  My blood tests confirmed I have no immunodeficiency nor any serious pathogens. The cause was simply a series of infections that were new to my body.

April 15 2013

I woke up at 9 am, had coffee in place of an actual breakfast. I spent the morning grooming myself and my room, getting things in order while trying to help my cold receded. I was feeling better.
I had pizza for lunch and drunken pork for dinner.

After dinner I started work on my armor, I glued the first 3 layers together and they are now drying. With any luck I will be able to do the next few tomorrow or perhaps Wednesday.
Also terrorist attack, I think it was Al Nusra in Syria but that’s just a shot in the dark, could have been skinheads.

In honor of Christopher Hitchens birthday which was on the 13th, I had a glass of Johnnie walker black on the rocks to end the night. I slept like a drunken baby.

April 16th, having fallen asleep at midnight I woke up at a quarter to 6 am. I got my things in order, had my coffee, some cereal, and showered and got dressed.

I arrived in class promptly and took a test which I had not studied or prepared for in any way… I got a 75. Not bad considering.

I packed greens and beans for lunch, should give me what I need to work out and do yoga later.
Turns out I forgot to pack my gym clothes… so I went across the street and got that lotion I needed hopefully I can get some time in under the sun.  a tan would be ideal if I'm going to be a roman god for AB

to be continued...

January 28, 2013

My weekend was uneventful aside from the protracted agony of my condition which flared violently from Saturday on. I did a bit of cleaning but for the majority of it I stayed in bed. Getting little sleep proportionate to my time spent in repose.

I woke up at 7:15, becoming well enough to stand and shower some 40 minutes later. I arrived at class 15 minutes early having consumed only a breakfast shake and having packed no lunch, my prospects for the day are less than optimal.

January 25, 2013

The first week of school, proved tedious and demanding. Not in the sense that the work was difficult but in fact that it was mind numbingly simple. My rage and consternation fell on deaf ears of course, and the miserable pointy headed buffoons who pretend to themselves to be my teachers, complained when in class I played a strategy game on my laptop… in order to spare them the shame of having completed their pathetic assignments far in advance of my “peers” and bothering them with demands for more challenging work. Worst of all they had the gaul to keep me past 1:30 when the bus leaves, only to dismiss us 5 minutes later… for what cause might you ask? TO TALK ABOUT FUCKING FOOTBALL! My rage was incomprehensible, it would be one thing if we were actually doing work, but running out the clock on asinine public sentiment and thereby forcing me to wait an additional hours for the next bus to leave, on top of that I left my id at home and was unable to use the time effectively in the gym.

On the subject I have spent a great deal of time in the gym of late, it is well stocked and staffed with free personal training and locker and shower room access along with a basket ball court and many other amenities conducive to physical fitness, all they are missing is a sauna and a pool, alas nothing is perfect. My goal is to obtain toned abdominal muscles and regain my former state of health, this and more, I will do.
I awoke at 7:20, having slept for 5 hours. My dearly loved cat greeted me as I woke with a raised tail. I was barely able to stand but none the less I played with her as the softy whiny meow she gives when wanting attention is too adorable to ignore. I headed for class early and stopped at McDonalds for coffee and an egg and cheese sandwich, which I regret immensely as it is now causing me extreme nausea. The coffee however was quite good.

I must now develop a new resume for my job readiness seminar assignment, finally here I am accomplishing the important work that I signed up for, and not pipeting water in and out of a beaker just to prove that I can, like some special needs toddler in science class. No I take that back, even a mentally handicapped infant could do that.

Assignment completed within an hour, I now have 4 hours to wait for the cretin…er I mean my peers to finish, yeah… “peers.” It’s not that I think I’m so smart, it’s that everyone else seems to be so fucking stupid.

January 18, 2013

January 18, 2013

It’s been a while, like 2 years a while. I really need to make a point to do this daily; it doesn’t take a hell of a lot of time.

I awoke at 7 to waffles which pleased me. My mother finally figured out a way to wake me up that didn’t make me want to shoot blood out of my eyes. I took the bus and walked to Cambridge biomedical only to discover to my extreme discomfort that it was at least 5 degrees. I had gloves, a scarf, a ski mask, a heavy jacket and I was still half frozen by the time I arrived at class.
I was then exposed to political bs about how everyone and their neo Nazi cousin needs a semi automatic assault rifle and told to mind my own business when the biggest loud mouth of a teacher I ever had decided to opine on the matter in such a way that people in the future could hear him. I vaguely recall being taught that it’s impolite to have a one on one side conversation in a public setting. Apparently he was taught that its polite to never say anything.

Then we decided to learn how to use Microsoft excel… 2003… with a book for 2000… I have fucking 2007 on my computer at home, got an A in CIT110 for using it, and its not even up to date! If it was 2010 then maybe, what the fuck? Next we do history, here comes Utah, and nigger’s Americas damnest rape folk… and yes that was from family guy, my life is now that of Brian the fucking dog… someone shoot me.

Perhaps if I'm forced to do something assinine and have only the option of writing as a way to get out of it every day, I'll regularly maintain this... It's proven effective thus far.
